Applications

CONTEGA HF^® is a dependable, durable and flexible air tight adhesive caulk for connections between interior or exterior air barriers and/or uneven substrates. It can be used on the interior or exterior of the building.

Dimensions

Available in:

10.5 oz (310 ml) cartridge - 3/16″ to 1/4″ bead will cover 30 to 45 linear ft

20.3 Oz (600 ml) sausage - ³/₁₆″ to ¹/₄″ bead will cover 60 to 90 linear ft

Coverage in linear ft. will depend on width of bead applied and roughness of substrate.

Substrates

• Bonds all Pro Clima membranes and PP-,PE, PA-, and Aluminum foils to substrates (wood, brick, concrete)
• Works in conjunction with CONTEGA FC, SL, EXO to connect solid or angled connections between different airtight construction materials
• On the exterior, connects weather resistant barriers, sub roof membranes, under rain screen membranes and wind/watertight construction components

Properties

• Material: Dispersion based on acrylic acid copolymers and ethanol, free of surfactants and halogens
• Application Temperature: 14 °F to 122 °F (-10 °C to 50 °C) [No adhesion to frozen objects]
• Can be stored below freezing thanks to minized ethanol (alcohol) content
• Low VOC per SCAQMD limits, compliant with LEED, and Living Building Challenge standards
• Good for uneven and porous substrates as it forms to, and penetrates into the substrate
• NBC 2020- 9.36.2.9 Air Barrier Systems Passed air leakage <0.02 L/(s·m²) @75 Pa (ASTM E2357)
• Low VOC per SCAQMD limits
