Prefab Assembled In Under A Week Through Mountain Roads And Snow

475 On-Site: Prefab Assembled In Under A Week, Mountain Roads And Snow Are No Match For Collective Carpentry

The team from Collective Carpentry is back again. Last time, co-owners Rane Wardwell and Jan Pratschke walked us through a project coming together in Montana. This time we're down on the southern end of the Rockies in Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico.

Paul Tumason takes us on this tour. Meeting tough deadlines the team narrowly beat a big snow storm that buried the site, in a location that was already hard to reach on rough mountain roads. These constraints demonstrate the difficulties modular / prefab construction can help overcome. When the road is rough, it helps that the majority of building assembly work took place in a controlled and protected factory. The project was assembled in just 6 days with a lot of hard work and coordination by all on the team.

The durability and performance achieved by this panelized system is made possible by the Pro Clima membranes supplied through 475 High Performance Building Supply.
