Applications
CONTEGA SOLIDO IQ® is a humidity-dependent window tape for interior OR exterior airtightness with smart vapor control.
Advantages
- Smart airsealing tape for window installs for interior and exterior application
- Modified SOLID acrylic adhesive, for durable and permanent bonds
- Humidity-dependent vapor profile assures rough opening is properly sealed and protected
- Very watertight, resists more than 8'2" (2.5m) of water column
- 11 3/4” (300 mm) wide version can be used for protection rough opening prior to framing inspection
- Use for interior and exterior corners of ADHERO applications
Substrates:
- Exceptional bonding to masonry, concrete, wood fiber insulation, solid wood, and all Pro Clima materials
- Adheres to many porous, rough and uneven substrates without need for primer (perform adhesion test to confirm)
- Adhesion test recommended on PVC/fiberglass/alum. window frames – production oils/silicone residues might need to be cleaned off for proper long term adhesion
Properties:
- Vapor variable material < 0.13 - 8 US perms (EN ISO 12572)
- Adhesive: full-surface, single-sided (for double-sided option see CONTEGA SOLIDO EXO-D)
- Application temperatures down to 14 °F (-10 °C)
- More than 8 ft (2.4 m) of water column
- Fleece side can be plastered over for an airtight and seamless and waterproof connection, also in EIFS construction
- The extra thin fleece allows the tape to be folded in corners and other tight connections
- Multiple release strips make corners easy: 3 1/8” roll (2-strip release), 5 7/8” roll (3-strip release)
